About the Role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Fire Extinguisher Testing Technician to join our team. This role involves the inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of portable fire equipment across commercial, industrial, and residential sites in accordance with Australian Standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, and service portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets Conduct routine maintenance in line with AS 1851 and relevant Australian Standards Identify defective or non-compliant equipment and recommend corrective actions Complete service reports and compliance documentation accurately Travel to customer sites across metro and regional areas as required Maintain tools, testing equipment, and company vehicle Deliver professional customer service on-site Skills & Experience Current manual driver’s licence White Card Police Clearance Working with Children Clearance Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks Desirable Qualifications Previous experience in fire protection, mechanical servicing, or a similar trade preferred Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to fire equipment servicing Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing Experience using mobile service software or digital reporting systems Forklift licence, EWP, or other relevant tickets What We Offer Ongoing training and career development Stable full-time employment Supportive team environment Company vehicle and specialised tools provided Attractive wages and conditions On the job training
