About Us Our client is a highly regarded precision engineering business operating in the aerospace and defence sectors, delivering complex components and assemblies into critical programs. This is not a purely administrative scheduling role - it's a hands-on position where you will take ownership of production flow within a multi-machine CNC environment, ensuring consistent and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating production across turning, milling, and finishing work centres within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting. The role requires a strong focus on balancing capacity, managing constraints, and optimising workflow efficiency across the shop floor. About the role: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules across multiple CNC work centres Balance capacity against demand, identifying constraints and implementing solutions Release and prioritise work to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) targets are met Collaborate closely with operations, projects, and quality teams to align production with customer requirements Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and adjust schedules dynamically based on real-time conditions Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, lead times, and overall workflow Skills and Experience: Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment (precision machining preferred) Strong understanding of CNC operations, including routing, setup times, and capacity planning Experience using ERP/MRP systems (APS experience is highly regarded) Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and take ownership of delivery outcomes Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how planning decisions impact cost and performance Exposure to aerospace, defence, or AS9100 environments is advantageous HOW TO APPLY You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.
