The Role Reporting into the CFO, this role requires a commercially astute Financial Controller to lead a high-performing finance function within a complex and purpose-driven organisation. This position is critical in ensuring strong financial governance, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic insights to support organisational performance. You will also be a trusted advisor to senior leadership while driving continuous improvement across the finance function. The role offers a broad remit spanning financial control, strategic planning, and business partnering and your key responsibilities include the following. Preparing and presenting board and committee reporting Partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive financial and operational performance Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team to foster a high-performance culture Overseeing cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and regulatory reporting Managing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Managing statutory reporting, compliance, and external audit processes Providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making Strengthening internal controls, policies, and financial governance frameworks Overseeing corporate banking, payments, and financial transaction activities Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes The Candidate CPA or CA qualified, you bring proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader, with strong technical accounting and statutory reporting expertise. You have a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams, alongside advanced analytical skills that enable you to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insights. With strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capabilities, you are comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments. Your background may include audit or professional services, complemented by experience with large ERP systems (such as Oracle) and a solid understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
