Job Description Brookfield is seeking a high‑calibre Associate to join its Australian legal team, supporting one of the world’s leading global alternative asset managers. This is a rare opportunity to work at the centre of major infrastructure investments, partnering closely with investment and asset management teams across Australia and the broader Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the SVP, Legal – Australia, you will play a hands‑on role across complex transactions, portfolio matters and corporate legal work within Brookfield Infrastructure. What you’ll do Transaction & Investment Support Support infrastructure M&A, divestments and joint ventures from inception to completion Advise on transaction structuring, NDAs and legal due diligence Review and negotiate transaction documentation and step plans Coordinate regulatory approvals, conditions precedent and deal completion Assist with internal approvals and investment committee materials Asset Management & Portfolio Support Advise on legal issues arising across portfolio companies and investment structures Review major commercial contracts, litigation matters and regulatory investigations Corporate & Governance Support corporate legal matters for Brookfield Infrastructure’s listed parent entity, including disclosures, board materials, restructures and securities offerings Assist with corporate structuring, fund flows, reorganisations and entity management Support broader corporate matters such as privacy, IP, licensing and modern slavery compliance Work closely with tax, finance, risk and compliance teams locally and globally Who we’re looking for Admitted solicitor in Australia (or equivalent jurisdiction) 2 years’ post‑admission experience in corporate or M&A at a top‑tier law firm Strong commercial judgement with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset Confident communicator, able to advise senior stakeholders clearly and concisely Self‑driven, detail‑oriented and comfortable managing multiple complex matters Genuinely interested in infrastructure, investments, business and finance Why Brookfield Exposure to market‑leading infrastructure investments and complex cross‑border transactions Direct access to senior decision‑makers and investment professionals A collaborative, high‑performance culture within a truly global organisation Broad role offering real responsibility, learning and career development Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
