The Role As a Senior Controls Assurance Analyst, you’ll support the delivery of Pepper Money’s Controls Assurance program by assessing the design and effectiveness of key business controls. Partnering closely with the Senior Manager - Controls Assurance and stakeholders across the business, you’ll identify risks, recommend improvements and help strengthen our overall control environment. You’ll lead end‑to‑end assurance reviews, contribute to strategic risk initiatives, and play an active role in fostering a strong and practical risk culture aligned with Pepper Money’s values. Leading control assurance engagements from planning through to testing, reporting and follow‑up, in line with the Annual Assurance Plan Assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls using agreed control testing methodologies Identifying control gaps, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement, and working with stakeholders to agree practical remediation actions Preparing clear, timely and insightful assurance reports, presentations and analysis for business leaders Maintaining accurate assurance documentation, testing evidence and issue tracking within the GRC system Ensuring risk profiles and control ratings are updated to reflect assurance outcomes and remediation progress Building strong, collaborative relationships with business partners and the broader risk and operational risk teams Contributing to broader risk and compliance strategic initiatives across Pepper Money About you You’re an assurance or audit professional with a solid background in banking or financial services, who enjoys working closely with the business to improve risk outcomes. You bring sound judgement, attention to detail and a structured approach to control testing and reporting. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders, communicating clearly, and providing practical, well‑reasoned recommendations that support continuous improvement and regulatory expectations. 2–5 years’ experience performing audits and/or assurance reviews 2–3 years’ experience within banking or financial services Hands‑on experience across the full assurance lifecycle, including planning, control testing, reporting and follow‑up A solid understanding of risk management, control frameworks and relevant regulatory obligations Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, law, accounting, IT or a related discipline Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA or CISA (highly regarded) At Pepper Money, collaboration is just as vital as your skills.
