Accounting Sydney Permanent Accounting 1/4/2026 $75,000-$85,000 p/a Billing Compliance & Revenue Assurance Analyst – Energy Sydney NSW (Hybrid) | Full Time Role Overview Billing Compliance & Revenue Assurance Analyst to own the integrity, compliance, and control environment across energy billing operations. This is not a transactional billing or accounts processing role. It is a compliance operations and systems-focused position responsible for ensuring billing outcomes are accurate, auditable, and fully aligned to energy regulatory obligations. Key Focus Areas Regulatory Compliance & Controls Interpret and operationalise energy regulatory requirements Embed compliance rules into billing processes and controls Maintain audit-ready documentation, controls, and evidence packs Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews Ensure billing communications meet required disclosures and standards Billing Systems & Configuration Manage billing logic, tariff structures, pricing rules, and system configurations Maintain metering data dependencies, triggers, and calculation rules Support implementation of regulatory and pricing changes into systems Partner with operations and product teams on billing rule changes Revenue Assurance & Analysis Identify billing discrepancies, leakage, and systemic errors Perform exception analysis and root cause investigations Reconcile billing issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented Analyse billing trends and system anomalies to identify risk areas Audit & Regulatory Interface Prepare evidence packs for audits and regulator engagement Conduct control testing and process walkthroughs Track and close compliance issues and remediation actions Support continuous improvement of billing controls and SOPs Key Skills & Experience Experience in energy, utilities, telco billing, or regulated environments Strong understanding of billing systems, tariffs, and data flows Exposure to revenue assurance, controls, or compliance frameworks Ability to interpret regulation and translate into operational processes Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Experience with system configuration or billing rules (essential) Advanced Excel and data analysis skills Bachelor’s degree required What Success Looks Like Billing processes are fully compliant and audit-ready System rules accurately reflect regulatory and pricing requirements Billing errors and revenue leakage are proactively identified and resolved Strong control environment with clear documentation and governance This is a great opportunity, apply now and don't miss it.
