The Finance Team at Hall & Wilcox is a team of 40 that provides financial and management accounting, trust accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, commercial analysis, AML/CTF compliance and banking and practice support functions across the Firm. This role will support the AML/CTF Risk Manager, AML/CTF Compliance Officer and a small number of other AML/CTF Risk Advisors in the implementation and ongoing operation of the firm’s AML workflow solution to support its AML/CTF compliance program. You will be responsible for: assisting in the implementation of the firm’s AML/CTF workflow solution, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively; providing input to the implementation of procedures and controls for compliance with AML/CTF for client and matter due diligence, risk assessments and suspicious matter reporting; being a ‘go to’ person for all things related to the firm’s AML/CTF workflow solution; assisting with preparing reports to AUSTRAC and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of AML activities; investigating AML/CTF alerts and conducting due diligence into potential ML/TF risk presented to the firm; assisting with promoting a culture of AML/CTF compliance; developing/maintaining an awareness AML/CTF legislation, guidance and practice to help keep the firm’s policies and procedures compliant; and monitoring and reporting to the AML/CTF Risk Manager on the effectiveness of the AML/CTF workflow solution and making recommendations for improvements as necessary. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail; and an interest in compliance risk platforms and/or AML/CTF compliance.
