Due to continued growth throughout the business, MLG is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Inventory Control Officer to join our Inventory and Purchasing team. Reporting to our Inventory and Purchasing Manager, this position is: Cockburn Workshop Permanent full-time position Monday to Friday 50 hour week Perth based candidates only Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team. Strong decision-making, problem-solving and team motivation skills. Sound planning, organisational, and administrative skills with demonstrated effectiveness in developing systems, processes, and procedures, to prioritise tasks and ensure achievement of goals. Interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously. High level of customer service skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders. A high level of computer literacy, including experience using a purchasing and inventory management system. Proficient computer skills are required. Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify errors and issues and develop effective and evidence-based solutions to problems To be considered for this role you will have the following skills & attributes: Current & Valid Driver's licence Forklift licence Demonstrated experience in Managing and Leading a Team (desirable). Demonstrated experience in Procurement and Inventory management (minimum of 3 years is desirable) . Understand best practice regarding inventory management, purchasing and dispatch. Understand compliance requirements in relation to materials, inventory management chain of responsibility Experience working with a computerised ERP environment, preferably Pronto & Therefore A certificate in Warehouse and Supply Chain Management required The ability to pass a Pre-employment medical, incl. Drug & Alcohol screen Experience with Microsoft Office - preferably Outlook, Word & Excel Excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills Have a strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines WHY MLG?
