The Contract Specialist is responsible for managing high to medium-risk contracts throughout their lifecycle, including negotiation, award, and development of contract documentation. You will actively monitor and evaluates contract performance against key metrics, advises on complex contractual issues, and ensures compliance with governance frameworks. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Contracts, you’ll play a key role in driving project success by: Negotiate and manage high to medium-risk contracts and/or categories, ensuring effective governance, risk management, performance, and financial control. Develop and maintain contract and category management plans, including procurement documentation for high/medium-risk agreements. Monitor and analyse contract performance and financial expenditure to ensure compliance with budgets and business objectives. Prepare and present contract strategies and award recommendations to the Contract Board for approval. Ensure adherence to company contract management policies and provide expert advice to drive quality and value. Identify, assess, and report on contract risks, implementing mitigation strategies as required. Develop negotiation strategies and lead complex contractual negotiations. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders.
