Job Overview: The Associate Pipeline Engineer utilizes existing Pipeline (Eng) procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Pipeline (Eng) and Engineering. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:  Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks  Apply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring  Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures  Organize own work to meet deadlines set by others  Clearly communicate information, asking questions, and checking for understanding  Gain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements  Prepare/Review MTOs for requisitions  Review vendor data with guidance from colleagues  Develop awareness of costs related to own work  Become familiar with P&IDs, Line List, Equipment Layouts, Plot Plans, Piping Specifications, and Design Basis  Assist with the preparation of the Special Piping Items and required datasheets  Assist with the preparation of the Piping Material and Valve specification  Become familiar with fundamentals and Code requirements for Pipe Stress Calculations  Become familiar with pipe Stress Analysis software (Caesar II) and assist with simple stress analysis  Assist with design calculations like pipe wall thickness, reinforcement pad, trunnion support, etc.  Assist with Material Requisitions, Technical Queries, Tech bid Evaluations, and Purchase Requisitions of Engineered Piping Equipment  Review and assist with checking the vendor documentation Reports to: Project: Lead Engineer Functional: Supervising Department Manager Liaise With: Engineers, Design Supervisors, and Designers of their own discipline Essential Qualifications and Education:  Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering  0-3 years of experience in oil and gas  Learning the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable  Learning design techniques and analysis methods  Preferably Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society as applicable  Eager to learn  Working knowledge of English, both oral and written  HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious  Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:  The reassignment to other departments, construction sites, and fabrication yards  The replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays  The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirable  The managing/learning of future current working methods and software applications  Accredited engineering degree as may be required by specific regions  Is familiar with the use of codes and standards What you can expect from us.
