Brake Press / Laser Operator We are seeking a skilled and motivated Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves operating a range of fabrication equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: Operate an LVD 170-tonne Brake Press to manufacture components to specification. Operate Tube Laser and Flat Bed Laser cutting machines. Perform rolling and bending operations as required. Read and interpret production drawings, work orders, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Create and modify machine programs at the control panel (Cadman experience highly regarded). Conduct in-process and final quality assurance inspections using measuring equipment and gauges. Ensure all work areas, tooling, and equipment are maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition. Assist with packing and preparing completed jobs for dispatch. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet delivery schedules and quality requirements. Skills & Experience: Previous experience operating brake press and laser cutting equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. Experience with machine programming; Cadman software experience is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
