With advanced plans to develop a number of additional underground mines, a clear pathway to an Underground Manager role is available within the next 12-18 months. Here you will gain end to end exposure in an owner operator model, where your involvement runs from concept to delivery. You will work alongside a sharp thinking unit and apply your experience across both technical planning and strong operational execution. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! We are seeking a natural mentor to develop the production team while optimising all functions of mine production. You will work closely with site leadership, including the Underground Manager and collaborate cross-functionally with geology, planning and operations teams to deliver outcomes aligned with production and business objectives. Snapshot of responsibilities: Deliver short-term production schedules aligned with planning direction Coordinate daily and short-term activities across Technical Services and Operations to ensure successful plan execution Identify and drive improvement initiatives to optimise remnant mining strategies and overall production performance Develop and implement systems, processes and technical standards to support production readiness and ongoing optimisation and best practice standards Design and deliver safe, drill and blast plans Conduct ventilation surveys Carry out routine underground inspections Lead end-of-month production reviews, analysing performance across safety, cost, and output, and identifying improvement opportunities Ensure compliance with WA WHS (Mining) Regulations 2022 Develop and implement Safe Systems of Work Support cost awareness and operational efficiency initiatives. Key requirements: Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering 5 years’ underground mining engineering experience Strong Deswik capability Solid understanding of WA WHS Act and Mining Regulations WA-based, with familiarity of the local operating environment. Bonus but not required: First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate Alternate Underground Manager Ticket.
