We are seeking a Senior Mining Supervisor to support the delivery of additional works on site. In this role, you will provide strong leadership to ensure your team operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards and will provide direct supervision of frontline Supervisors and operational crews to ensure mining activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with mine plans, production schedules, budgets, site procedures, and relevant legislation. This role requires a proactive leader with strong operational capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive team performance across a dynamic mining environment. To be considered for these positions you must possess the following as a minimum: Relevant supervisory experience in the Mining industry Experience operating Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Komatsu earthmoving equipment WHS Statutory Supervisors (S26) Units of Competency – BSBWHS411 and RIIRIS402E OR BSBWHS414 WHS Statutory Supervisor Examination WHS Statutory Responsibilities for Mining Supervisors (SRMS) Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor workforces Strong time management and organisational skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s Certification (Desirable) As a Senior Mining Supervisor reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for: Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture aligned with company expectations Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company and site procedures Conducting inspections of work areas and rectifying unsafe conditions or behaviours Leading incident investigations, hazard identification, and risk management processes Ensuring worker competencies are maintained and coordinating training requirements where necessary Coordinating and supervising daily mining activities to achieve production targets Ensuring mining operations are completed in line with the mine plan and production schedule Monitoring production performance, equipment utilisation, and operational efficiency Promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional development across crews Managing workforce performance including coaching, mentoring, feedback, and disciplinary processes where required Maintaining effective communication with client operational leadership and technical teams Representing NRW professionally in all site interactions Supporting initiatives that improve operational efficiency and overall project performance Ensuring labour and equipment resources are effectively utilised to align with budget targets and minimise unnecessary costs Identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies impacting productivity, cost, or equipment performance Preparing and leading daily production toolbox meetings About Us: NRW Civil & Mining has built a strong reputation for delivering diversified contract services across a range of high-profile mining and civil projects throughout Australia.
