About the role We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Medical Receptionist to join a busy sports injuries medical practice in their modern, new premises in Ashmore, Queensland. This full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of a specialist medical practice, providing exceptional customer service to patients and supporting a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. What you'll be doing Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice Scheduling appointments, managing the appointment calendar, and handling patient enquiries with compassion and professionalism Handling patient medical records and data entry with excellent attention to detail, excercising a high degree of confidentiality. Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and ordering supplies (inlcuding medications) Handling cash/eftpos/credit cards Proof reading and sub editing of patient dictation consults Providing general support to the practice team as needed What we're looking for At least 3 years medical reception experience. Experience with Gentu Practice Management Software and the HICAPS billing system would be a distinct advantage. Knowledge of medical terminology Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, doctors, and other staff members in a professional and empathetic manner Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage a busy workload A friendly, positive, and helpful attitude, with a genuine interest in the healthcare industry Excellent presentation skills required for this frontline, customer facing role Typing speed of 70wpm or faster, with a high degree of accuracy.
