Lake Joondalup Baptist College seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Learning Enhancement Teacher who believes all students can be successful. The successful candidate will have the qualifications and personal qualities needed to welcome, inspire and teach students effectively and competently as they implement the Australian Curriculum. This position is offered as a Full Time, ongoing contract, commencing in May 2026 Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities for this role includes, but is not limited to: Teach a range of Enhancement programs and liaise with parents, teachers and the Head of Learning Enhancement to plan, prepare, monitor and report on the progress of students in these programs. Write Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAP) and conduct IEP and CAP interviews and review meetings with parents, staff and specialists. Knowledge and experience in the assessment and intervention of working with children with ASD. Collect and monitor data and diagnostic information about students with learning support needs in order to measure progress and to inform planning and programs. Advise and support teachers with curriculum adjustments and learning support strategies. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan, teach and monitor learning programs for students with learning difficulties. Essential Selection Criteria Essential criteria for this role includes, but is not limited to: Accreditation with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia A practicing Christian, actively involved in a church community, with a clear commitment to teaching and modelling Christian values. Demonstrated experience working with learning support students and a knowledge of the needs of these students Demonstrated commitment to personal growth, education and welfare of students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including relationship building, community engagement and team building Knowledge of Inclusive Education programs and practices within specific stages of development This position is only open to applicants who have the right to work in Australia.
