Lake Joondalup Baptist College seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Technologies educator who believes all students can be successful. The successful candidate will have the qualifications and personal qualities needed to welcome, inspire and teach students effectively and competently as they implement the Australian Curriculum. This is a fixed term position for Term Two 2026, commencing in May. The role will be offered between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE depending on the successful candidate, with the possibility of extension. Essential Selection Criteria The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes. Essential criteria for this role include: A practicing Christian and active member of a church, with a commitment to modelling Christian values within the school community; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships, engage the wider community, and work effectively within a team; Demonstrate the ability to teach across a range of Technologies subjects, including some of the following: Years 7-8 Home Economics, Year 9 Foods, Year 10 Textiles, Year 10 CFC, Year 11/12 ATAR/General MDT Textiles and Year 11/12 General CFC; Plan, prepare, deliver and assess engaging learning programs, and monitor and report on student progress in line with College and SCSA requirements; Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and leadership to support student learning, wellbeing and positive educational outcomes; Ensure safe practices in practical learning environments by adhering to workshop/kitchen safety procedures and supervision requirements; Work closely with the Learning Enhancement team to support students with diverse learning needs, including differentiation and adjustments where required.
