Job description Initial 12 Month Contract ABOUT US Wakwakurna Kanyini is recognised as the South Australian Peak Body For Aboriginal Children and Families that was established following decades of advocacy for an independent Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation to advance the rights and best interests of our communities. ABOUT THE ROLE This role provides high level executive and administrative support to the CEO and the organisations operational functions. You will play a central role in day-to-day office operations, governance support, reception, and coordination activities that enable Wakwakurna Kanyini to pursue its advocacy and sector leadership work effectively. The Executive Assistant/Administration Officer is often the first point of contact for the organisation and will work closely with the CEO, staff, members, and external stakeholders. ABOUT YOU You are proactive, calm, and highly organised, with strong administration and communication skills. You understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism and enjoy supporting leaders and teams to work effectively. You will bring: Experience in executive support or senior administration Attention‑to‑detail, initiative, and proficient time‑management skills Confidence using Office 365 and digital systems Engaging interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated written ability The ability to be responsive and work collaboratively in a dynamic workplace Experience working in Aboriginal community‑controlled or not‑for‑profit organisations is highly regarded.
