About the role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled permanent Personal Assistant to join our medical practice in Norwood, SA . As a key member of our medical administration team, you will provide high-quality administrative support primarily to a group of surgeons at Norwood Breast & Endocrine Surgeons. This role is for 4-5 days per week depending on candidate preference and is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic healthcare organisation and contribute to the smooth running of a busy private medical practice. What you'll be doing · Managing incoming phone calls, emails, general enquiries and making appointments · Facilitating patient consulting clinics - billing, making appointments with specialists, other health care providers, booking surgical procedures · Contribute to the maintenance of practice records, files, and databases · Sending correspondence via HealthLink, email and fax, occasional typing of dictation · Maintenance of consulting room · Managing the recall process and processing of bulk billed claims to Medicare · Other ad hoc administration duties as required What we're looking for · Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a patient facing medical administration role · Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines · Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and empathetic approach · Proficiency in using standard office software, including Microsoft Office suite, a medical database · A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion · Intermediate (or above) typing speed. · Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute required. · Experience in private surgeons rooms highly desirable · Experience in Genie or Xestro software highly desirable What we offer At Norwood Breast & Endocrine Surgeons medical practice, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
