About The Role As a Bookings Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating theatre schedules, managing daily surgical bookings and ensuring timely and accurate updates to theatre lists. You’ll work closely with a range of clinical and administrative teams, including surgeons, theatre coordinators and bed management to provide seamless patient care and operational efficiency. Employment Condition Casual Role – Rotating Roster OR Permanent Part-Time - 0.8 FTE - 60hrs/ fortnight Key Responsibilities Manage and update theatre schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of changes Coordinate ad-hoc and on-call surgical sessions handing complex scheduling requests Support the Bed Bookings Manager in daily tasks and deadlines Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and work with relevant departments to resolve issues Liaise with doctors’ room to obtain and confirm operating lists Monitor theatre capacity and alert staff about patient-specific needs Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection standards About You Strong organizational and time–management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in managing last-minute changes Proficiency in using scheduling software and standard office tools A keen eye for detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy in all tasks Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information Desirable Previous administrative experience in healthcare sector Strong knowledge of medical and surgical terminology, including acronyms to ensure accurate and timely assessment of patient needs What Sets Us Apart: Boost Your Take Home Pay: We are pleased to be able to offer generous salary packaging opportunities for our employees through our partner, AccessPay.
