Job description North East Community Services Group (NECSG) is a Not for Profit (NFP) community-based organisation, providing specialist support, access to services and opportunities for learning and social connection. Our Vision is to build a resilient, empowered and inclusive community. NECSG auspices three services; the Zillmere Community Centre, Family Accommodation Service and Youth Support Service. Our mission across all services is to equip and empower the community through connection, capacity building, and access to services. The Zillmere Community Centre is a safe and welcoming place where people connect, share skills, and build community. Through social inclusion programs, emergency relief, community events, and partnerships, we support individuals and families to thrive. The Committee NECSG is governed by a volunteer management committee currently consisting of seven members. The committee plays a vital role in overseeing governance, financial stewardship, and strategic direction, working closely with the Centre Manager and staff. Committee members meet monthly in Zillmere, with occasional additional commitments such as sub-committee work or community events. We are currently recruiting for a Treasurer with a background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, in collaboration with senior staff and our external financial supports. We welcome applications from people who have: Experience in governance, management, finance, or community services. An understanding of not-for-profit compliance and fiduciary responsibilities (or willingness to learn). A collaborative, respectful, and inclusive approach.
