Act as a trusted advisor shaping tax strategy across the business Great Benefits on offer - both monetary & non-monetary employee benefits Mental Wellbeing & Purpose: Up to 4 Wellness days 2 Volunteer days each year ABOUT THE ROLE This position is responsible for managing and delivering tax assignments, assisting in the development of junior member of the team and collaborating with other internal stakeholders to manage tax risks. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare month-end and year-end tax provision calculations (tax effect accounting), including under/over adjustments and tax account reconciliations. Ensure accurate tax disclosures in the financial statements and support the external audit. Prepare consolidated income tax returns, schedules and supporting workpapers for the ANZ region and the UK, including the review of income tax sensitive accounts. Prepare disclosures for Country-By-Country reporting (CbCR), Pillar II, and other tax transparency requirements for inclusion in parent entity reports. Prepare monthly GST / Business Activity Statement and ensure full compliance with ANZ tax obligations, including monthly GST reconciliations using the GST Analytical Tool (GAT). Prepare annual / quarterly FBT returns for the ANZ region and review FBT sensitive accounts. Prepare monthly and periodic income tax instalment calculations for the ANZ region. Conduct regular reviews of Fixed Asset Register to ensure correct tax depreciation rates are applied and that asset write-offs comply with company policy and relevant tax legislation. Support and enhance tax governance and risk management frameworks, including performing periodic control testing in line with the control testing plan and collaborating closely with Internal Audit. Assist with the ATO / Inland Revenue, and other revenue authority reviews, including Combined Assurance Review (CAR). SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance or equivalent and be CA or CPA Qualified. Registered Tax Agent or ability to work towards the registration. 4 years post-qualification experience, ideally from a big 4, Mid-Tier or a large corporate in house tax team. Extensive hands-on experience in corporate taxation compliance and tax effect accounting. Broad knowledge of Australian corporate income tax law, FBT law, GST law and Australian accounting standards. Ability to manage competing deadlines and operate autonomously while collaborating across functions. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of the Combined Assurance Review (CAR) is desirable. Experience with New Zealand tax is advantageous. Demonstrable experience using ERP system such as D365. ABOUT YOU Demonstrated analytical / problem solving skills.
