Job Title Senior Analyst, FEC First Line Monitoring & Assurance Job Description About the role: Rabobank’s ANZ Financial Economic Crime (FEC) domain exists to safeguard customers, the bank, & society by detecting & preventing financial & economic crime. We have an opening for Senior Analyst - Financial Economic Crime First Line Monitoring & Assurance based in Sydney. You will join a highly engaged team who work a hybrid mix of office & from home. In this role, you will play an important role in ensuring the bank’s compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), & Sanctions requirements. Your area of expertise is broad & covers multiple financial economic crime (FEC) disciplines, processes & teams. You will be responsible for supporting FEC controls operated in the region, ensuring the division maintains all aspects of Rabobank Australia & New Zealand (RANZ) Risk Control Framework (RCF) (including Compliance) on a day-to-day basis. Collaborating closely with teams across Australia, New Zealand & globally, you uphold high-quality standards, ensuring accurate & timely identification of issues, as well as providing up to date reporting on assurance outcomes. Your ability to consider Australia & New Zealand’s unique market conditions & regulatory environment will ensure alignment with global FEC strategies & initiatives. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the adoption & effective implementation of Rabobank’s Risk Management Framework & Compliance Framework within FEC Operations. Top Role Accountabilities: Embed strong risk & compliance practices into the ANZ FEC team’s daily operations, ensuring files align with policies, processes, & frameworks Provide Quality Assurance / First Line Monitoring across CDD (new & ongoing), Transaction Monitoring,, International Funds Transfer Instruction & Threshold Transaction Reporting Identify, recommend, & implement process & control enhancements; track & validate corrective actions Act as a change agent - driving a strong risk culture within the 1st line & influencing others to adopt improved approaches Collaborate to ensure effective risk management, timely issue identification, & high‑quality assurance reporting Supporting the development of a constructive culture by educating & creating awareness of AML / CFT, FATCA / CRS in a way that makes it material for staff Provide advisory support to Line 1 & partner with Line 2 & 3 to resolve issues & assess regulatory impacts Build a constructive compliance culture through education & awareness on AML/CFT & FATCA/CRS in practical, business‑relevant ways To be successful you will have: 5 years’ financial crime experience within Banking/Financial Services with a focus on assurance &/or risk management A solid understanding of Assurance, with the ability to apply to complex environments Knowledge of key regulations, including FATCA/CRS & AML/CTF An ability to proactively drive early engagement with key internal stakeholders where appropriate Confident communication & presentation abilities, especially when engaging senior leaders & business partners Clear written & verbal communication skills An ability to act as a change driver, initiating change actions & influencing others to change the course or approach in a changing environment Exceptional prioritisation skills, thriving under pressure in fast-paced environments High attention to detail & accuracy What we're proud to offer you: Rabo@Anywhere is our hybrid way of working at Rabobank & for Australia, that means we have a blend of time working between the office & home Wellbeing leave .
