A new opportunity has become available for an experienced and driven Financial Accountant with a genuine curiosity to understand data and the ability to translate results and present them to non-financial stakeholders. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be part of a busy team of Financial Accountants who maintain and oversee the financial records, transactions and taxation compliance of the organisation, and ensure accurate, timely and well-presented financial reporting is produced in a fast-paced environment. Your proactive approach, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills together with your high attention to detail and ability to work independently within a collaborative team will support your success. Within this role you’ll be responsible for: Performing month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals Managing general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions Monitoring and reviewing financial data, identifying/resolving any discrepancies Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, AASB) and regulatory requirements Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Identify and /or participate in initiatives to improve and streamline finance processes The ideal applicant will have high attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to meet and adhere to strict deadlines.
