About the role: This HR Advisor will report to the Director of Human Resources, this role plays a key part in supporting the school’s people strategy. You’ll provide trusted HR advice, manage employee queries and grievances with professionalism, and lead HR projects that enhance staff satisfaction and drive the school’s success. Key Responsibilities: Provide first-level HR advice and support, resolving employee queries and grievances Act as the first point of contact for routine HR enquiries, ensuring accurate and consistent guidance Support all HR activities, policies, and procedures, including drafting and reviewing documents in consultation with the Director of HR Maintain HR and payroll systems, employee records, and compliance documentation Coordinate and support the work of HR Administrators Participate in recruitment panels and implement induction programs Assist with contracts, position descriptions, and employee lifecycle processes Contribute to HR projects, strategies, and initiatives that improve engagement and retention Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and school policies, including working with children checks Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification in HR or related field Demonstrated experience providing HR support within a school or education setting (highly desirable) Proven experience managing complex awards and enterprise agreements Sound knowledge of industrial agreements and employment legislation Strong knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory requirements Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and professional skills Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively Experience with HR systems, Microsoft Office, and online HR workflows High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality Benefits: Free onsite parking available.
