Your new opportunity Queensland Treasury's Industry Policy Division is seeking a visionary leader for the role of Assistant Under Treasurer. You will play a pivotal role in delivering expert advice, analysis, and leadership to support decision-making throughout Cabinet and Budget processes. Leading cross-sector collaborations and driving strategic initiatives, you will champion the delivery of high-quality fiscal and policy outcomes for Government. As part of Treasury's Senior Leadership Team, you will represent Treasury with industry organisations, Queensland Government agencies, and other keystakeholders, advising on critical issues of statewide significance. Your leadership and governance capabilities will strengthen Treasury's capacity to respond to complex challenges while supporting public sector innovation and achieving the Government's strategic priorities. In this role, you will: - Provide authoritative advice and analysis to senior executives, government leaders, and stakeholders, including the Treasurer and Cabinet Budget Review Committee, on fiscal and economic performance in Queensland. - Lead cross-sector collaboration to implement whole-of-government initiatives and drive innovative, responsible fiscal policy outcomes. - Represent Queensland Treasury in complex negotiations and high-level consultations with industry, government bodies, and external organisations. - Build and develop strong, highly capable teams to deliver notable improvements and foster Treasury's continual development. - Manage critical partnerships across government, industry, and communities in alignment with Queensland's overarching objectives for good jobs, better services, and a great lifestyle.
