The Role: Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the College’s accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate billing, effective collections, and reconciliations, while building positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Managing the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including school fee billing, receipting, debt collection, and direct debit administration; Monitoring and following up outstanding accounts to support cash flow, applying a balanced and relationship-based approach to credit control; Preparing and issuing statements and debtor reports to support timely and accurate collections; Maintaining accurate and compliant debtor records, including detailed notes; Managing the direct debit system, including setup, changes, reviews, and reconciliations; Supporting the Director of Finance and Dean of Business Operations with reporting, reconciliations, and journal preparation; Liaising with parents, caregivers, internal stakeholders, and external agencies in a professional and empathetic manner; and Assisting with broader finance and College operations during peak periods, as required. About you: You are an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who is confident in taking ownership and managing end-to-end debtor functions and enjoys working in a people-focused environment. You bring a professional and approachable manner to stakeholder engagement and are confident managing financial conversations with sensitivity and care. You are highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance accuracy with efficiency. You take pride in maintaining strong financial controls while contributing positively to a collaborative finance team within a values-led organisation. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a full-function Accounts Receivable role Strong reconciliation, reporting, and data management skills Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Experience with TASS will be highly advantageous Ability to acquire Blue Card approval Alignment with the mission, values, and culture of St Joseph’s College and EREA Why Join Terrace?
