The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Payroll Processing to join our Payroll Continuous Delivery squad. Reporting to the Product Owner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the technical solutions and processes underpinning our team members' pay are robust, compliant, and accurately validated. This is a high impact role where you will bridge the gap between complex payroll legislation and technical execution, ensuring end to end integrity through rigorous testing and process design. What You’ll Do As a Senior BA within our agile environment, your focus will be on the intersection of compliance, process efficiency, and system reliability: Stakeholder Synthesis: Partner with Product Owners, Payroll SMEs, and Compliance teams to translate complex regulatory changes or business requirements into actionable functional specifications. Domain Led Analysis: Leverage your payroll expertise to perform gap analysis, identify downstream process impacts, and ask the hard questions that mitigate payroll leakage or compliance risks. Testing Orchestration: Lead the end to end testing lifecycle for payroll changes. This includes defining complex test scenarios, managing data preparation, executing scripts, and managing defects within an Agile framework. Quality Assurance and UAT: Facilitate testing playbacks to business stakeholders, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure the business is confident in the solution before go live, Hypercare and Transition: Support the seamless handover of project deliverables to BAU teams and provide expert analysis during the post-delivery hyper care phase. What You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of technical payroll knowledge and disciplined business analysis skills: Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on Payroll Processing experience, complemented by 12-18 months of focused UAT/Testing experience. Systems Expertise: Proven proficiency in large-scale enterprise systems, specifically SAP, SuccessFactors, and Kronos. Analytical Rigor: A strong track record in business process improvement and the ability to interpret complex test plans and report on status with precision. Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical payroll concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and persuasively. Critical Thinking: A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify potential risks before they impact the pay run.
