The role: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Project Officer will support project teams in managing Information Management and ICT initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about overseeing project procurement activities while helping to drive projects forward, implementing consistent working practices, and providing guidance to project teams and ensure milestones and deliverables are met. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to manage multiple deliverables at once. It will suit a professional with a sharp eye for detail, outstanding organisational and time management skills, and strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to effectively handle competing priorities. In addition to this, you will be responsible for: Promoting and ensuring use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered. Managing, monitoring and reporting on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules. Managing and monitoring resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts. Initiating, influencing and maintaining relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations. Managing, monitoring and actively participating in the implementation of consistent working processes Managing the definition, documentation and successful completion of a medium scale project in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies. An understanding of budget and schedule creation and monitoring in the project environment would be beneficial.
