This role supports employers of apprentices and trainees from initial sign-up through to successful completion by providing expert guidance and practical solutions. As an Apprenticeship Development Advisor, you’ll help employers create effective training environments, ensure appropriate supervision, and understand their responsibilities. Through personalised advisory services delivered primarily via phone and video, you’ll identify gaps in support, offer referrals to relevant services, and strengthen the overall apprenticeship and or traineeship experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver structured support to employers from sign-up through to completion. Provide guidance on supervision standards, legal obligations, and training plan alignment. Assist employers in understanding their role in mentoring and supporting apprentices. Identify and respond to workplace issues such as lack of supervision, training delays, or misalignment with training contracts. Connect employers to relevant support services, including mental health, cultural safety, and diversity training. Facilitate feedback loops between employers, apprentices, and training providers. Promote awareness of trade school expectations and off-the-job training obligations. Digitally confident , with proficiency in MS Office and external databases (e.g., ADMS). Committed to continuous improvement , with the ability to detect and resolve both basic and complex issues. Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in identifying or researching appropriate referral pathways to specialist services. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Experience supporting employers in apprenticeship or vocational training contexts Strong client service and stakeholder engagement skills Knowledge of apprenticeship system and workplace obligations Confident with virtual advisory delivery (phone/video) and digital tools Ability to identify issues and connect employers to relevant support services
