The key duties of the position include The Role Security Investigators in the Security Investigation Unit perform complex security investigations into reported serious security incidents by interpreting and complying with legislation, policy and procedures to deliver timely security investigation outcomes. Security Investigators are required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail, resilience and ability to manage multiple tasks to deliver timely outcomes are necessary. Security Investigators must be team-focused, inclusive, accountable and trustworthy. About our Team The Security Investigation Unit is a high performing team of security professionals with a range of investigative and analytical skills. The team delivers security investigation outcomes that frequently produce outcomes for Defence senior leaders. The team works under direction and closely together to understand security risk arising in the course of serious security incidents. The team is a Defence Investigative Authority (DIA) and works cooperatively with other DIA's, and law enforcement, where required.
