The Internal and External Committees section provides high-level support to the ACIC Board and National Policing Systems Subcommittee, for board member agencies, and internal and external governance committees. The Assistant Director, Internal and External Committees plays a pivotal role in driving effective governance and collaboration across the agency's internal and external committees. Your responsibilities will include coordinating high-level support to internal and external committees, providing strategic advice to senior executives and ensuring decision-making is well-supported with accurate briefing materials. You will be highly organised, able to adapt to a dynamic workload, comfortable working independently and as part of a team, operate effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and preserve the confidentiality of sensitive information. The key duties of the position include Provide high-level Secretariat support to internal and external committees, including the management and coordination of committee operations. Develop accurate and effective briefing materials to support the delivery of committee objectives and remit. Ensure adherence to appropriate internal secretariat processes and governance arrangements. Review, develop and update team standard operating procedures to ensure committee operations are transparent, repeatable and efficient, while also effectively supporting strategic governance outcomes. Lead and develop staff through training and coaching, performance feedback and career development.
