Description The Role: This permanent part-time role collaborates closely with teachers to create a vibrant, nurturing, and inclusive classroom where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to learn. This role helps bring lessons to life through hands-on support, encourages social and emotional growth, and contributes to a positive learning atmosphere that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of discovery in young learners. If this sounds like the role for you, why not apply! The Average Day: Supporting small groups or individual students during literacy and numeracy sessions to strengthen understanding and confidence. Assisting the teacher with classroom activities, transitions, and routines to keep learning smooth and engaging. Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional wellbeing through gentle guidance and role modelling. Helping prepare and organise learning materials, displays, and resources to enhance the classroom environment. Participating in team meetings and professional learning to continuously grow and contribute to the school community. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their growth and development. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build warm, positive relationships with students and staff. A valid Employee Working With Children Check or valid registration with the Victorian institute of Teaching (VIT) is a requirement of employment in this position.
