Description The Role: The Talent Development Teacher supports gifted students primarily across Years 7 -12, creating enriching and challenging learning experiences that nurture creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. Working collaboratively with teachers, families and the Learning Development team, this role ensures high-ability learners are inspired, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. This role is fixed term part-time (0.5 FTE) until the end of 2026. If this sounds like the role for you, why not apply! The Average Day: Identify and assess gifted students using appropriate tools and criteria. Design and deliver tailored learning experiences to extend student potential. Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiation and curriculum enhancement. Coordinate enrichment programs, competitions and learning opportunities. Monitor, assess and report on student progress and achievement. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Teaching qualifications and experience working with gifted or high-ability learners. A strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment practices. The ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents and external professionals. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Creativity, initiative and a genuine passion for nurturing student talent. A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
