Overview Due to growth in our practice, PFS Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant for a client-facing role in our Risk Advisory practice. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk Advisory, you will assist PFS Principals, Practice Leaders and Staff to deliver governance, risk and compliance and/or Internal Audit related projects. Clients include APRA- and ASIC-regulated financial institutions, regulators themselves, holders of Australian Financial Services Licenses, accounting/audit firms, not-for-profit organisations and other financial and non-financial corporations, including numerous multinationals and household names. Your day to day will include Develop and maintain client relationships to identify revenue opportunities Review and provide advice and guidance to clients in relation to various operational activities that impact on the client’s risk management framework. Maintain up to date knowledge of, and interpret on behalf of clients, industry developments relevant legislation, regulations and prudential standards and guidance. Develop and review internal policies and procedures for clients. Develop and review clients’ disclosure documents such as product disclosure statements, target market determinations. Construct and implement compliance, risk management and incident management monitoring and reporting frameworks for clients using compliance software. Conduct independent reviews of risk & compliance obligations e.g., CPS230, CPS220, SPS220, CPS510, CPS511 Undertake Internal Audit work including developing IA plans, control testing, compliance testing, data analysis and preparing IA reports Analyse regulatory or other developments and assist with preparing client alerts & thought leadership articles Who you are You will have 10 years’ background in Financial Services Audit in an accounting firm, and/or be in a client facing risk consulting role, ready to supercharge your career. This involves developing strong relationships with our clients and taking action to help them succeed in meeting their objectives. Ability to interact with Senior Management, Committees and Boards. Dependable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail whilst completing projects promptly and accurately within required deadlines. Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team. High level initiative and judgement as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to apply a pragmatic and hands on approach to problem solving. Relevant computer software application skills.
