The key duties of the position include The Role An opportunity exists for an EL 1 Management Accountant within one of Defence's high priority areas in the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Maritime and Maintenance Branch (MMB). As an EL 1 Management Accountant, you will support the achievement of complex financial management work within an integrated workforce to help accelerate capability acquisition and sustainment activities. You will provide reliable and timely professional financial management advice and contribute to strategic planning, program, and project management outcomes. Every day is a unique challenge as you embrace opportunities to: Manage financial support, contribute to budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting for a range of guided weapons and munitions; Lead the coordination of financial governance requirements and promote compliance to financial management frameworks; Use knowledge and experience of financial management to provide advice on Defence and government financial matters; and Provide specialist commercial advice and support for acquisition and sustainment procurement activities.
