Qualifications/Industry Experience/Licences: Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience (5 years) in business, commerce, finance, or a related discipline Proficiency in MYOB or other equivalent accounting software and online banking platforms Extensive experience in payroll processing, including salary sacrificing, award interpretation, and understanding of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) obligations Proven people management capabilities, including team leadership, staff development, and performance management High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, to support financial reporting and data analysis Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including the ability to gather, assess, and present data to support evidence-based decision-making Experience in reviewing and implementing accounting systems and processes, including the development of financial documentation and procedures Experience in preparing, interpreting, and delivering financial reports, including monthly board reports, quarterly financial reports, and ad hoc financial reporting Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and reliability in meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities A business partnering mindset, with a commitment to customer service excellence and supporting operational teams to achieve financial compliance Ability to meet and maintain legislative, funding, and compliance requirements, including obligations relating to funding agreements, salary packaging, FBT, and financial governance Experience using the Employment Hero payroll system desirable Qualified Accountant status (CPA or CA) and membership in a relevant professional association desirable A broad outline of the responsibilities of the position include: Analyse CTC business models and finances and make recommendations to the relevant Service Manager, CEO and Board for improvement in budget, operations and any other areas identified Lead, mentor and develop a Finance Team in a growing organisation, ensuring continual improvement processes are implemented across the department Provide practical support, guidance and development to Finance Officers to ensure timely and accurate coding and data entry of day-to-day transactions in MYOB Ensure relevant policies and procedures and practices in relation to all financial processes of CTC meet the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Human Services Quality Framework and any other relevant Industry Standards/legislative requirements, are documented, communicated, implemented and regularly reviewed under continuous improvement Provide Service Managers with a complete and accurate monthly financial report Provide complete and accurate reports to the CEO for inclusion in financial reporting functions/requirements such as BAS, monthly, quarterly and financial year reporting and audits Take the lead on, and work with Service Managers and Management to collate the annual financial budget Be responsible (alongside Management Accountant) for the completion of the Annual Financial Statements Liaise with external auditors for interim and end of financial year audit processes Be an active member of the CTC Team Leaders’ group Process accounting journals and support team members to undertake same Ensure accounts payable are paid on time and processes are reviewed and supported – be responsible for payment files Reconcile and maintain oversight of accounts receivable processes and outstanding accounts Payroll - support the delivery of end-to-end payroll transaction services including ensuring compliance with the Award, required updates to payroll software and appropriate reporting and review FBT – track private motor vehicle usage to ensure that all staff remain under the relevant cap so that CTC does not incur FBT costs.
