Our Financial Services client is looking for 2 x seasoned Mainframe Systems Programmers with a background in Security for a 6 month contract role and for one of the candidates, the possibly of it turning into a permanennt position. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large security posture uplift program, based in Melbourne, Victoria working in a hybrid/remote (Aus only) capacity of 3 in the office and 2 dpw working from home. Note: Australian Permanent residency, citizenship advantageous, and Visa sponsorship MAY be considered for the right candidate who meets all the criteria below. Role Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to bring their skills and experience to bear and provide Mainframe systems and security technology-based services incorporating, strategy, design, development, delivery and maintenance of technological solutions to meet business needs and enhance the security posture of the organisation's core IT capabilities. Key competencies & experience: 10 years relevant business, technology and Mainframe experience, 10 years experience in a Security Analyst role would be highly desireable, Advanced - RACF Security Expertise, Advanced - JCL (Job Control Language) coding experience, Advanced - SAS (Statistical Analysis System) programming expertise, ISPF and ISPF Dialogue Management Services, SDSF (Spool Display Search Facility), and Programming experiencing in one or more programming disciplines (including: Python, Assembler, PL1 and Cobol). Key non-technical capabilities: Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field, highly desireable, Sound understanding of security, audit and risk management, controls and standard operating procedures, Ability to build effective relationships and enable the successful implementation of technical strategies, Use technical expertise and judgement to define and implement technical solutions to support business needs, Provide services to support, guide and assure design of solutions in line with agreed strategies and directions, Confer with systems users to develop areas of change in requirements, that result in greater efficiency, systems integration or cost reduction, Develop technical evaluations of products, tools, techniques and methods to meet business needs, Provide technical input to design specifications of major computer systems and provide consultative guidance on their execution, and Excellent verbal, written/documentation and presentation skills as well as stakeholder management.
