Security Consultant (Contract) Location: Melbourne | Hybrid working (50% in-office) Rate: $750 to $900 per day (including super) Duration: 14 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 BYOD required A major enterprise is seeking an experienced Security Consultant to support a large-scale transformation programme aimed at strengthening its cyber security posture through a defence in depth approach. This role is highly collaborative and will involve close engagement with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver practical, risk-aligned security outcomes. Key responsibilities Partner with technology and business teams to mature the organisation’s security capabilities Review and assure current state security architecture in line with enterprise standards and policies Recommend fit-for-purpose, integrated tools and processes for cyber and network security operations Lead security engagement across major transformation initiatives Work alongside Security Architecture, Enterprise Architecture and other security functions to ensure consistent security delivery About you 3 to 5 years of experience in security governance, risk and compliance within large, complex environments Solid understanding of the full security lifecycle, from design through to implementation Familiarity with frameworks such as ISM, NIST CSF, ISO27001 and Essential Eight Demonstrated experience overseeing the delivery of enterprise-grade security solutions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Interview process One to two stage interview Bring your own device (BYOD) required
