Job Info Location: CANNING VALE, WA Salary: $80,001 - $100,000 Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description About the Role MGC Solutions Pty Ltd is a key provider of Infrastructure Services, delivering works in the Railway Signalling and Railway Communications sectors across Western Australia. An opportunity has become available for experienced Signal Electricians or Electricians Special Class to join our Installation Team full time in the Perth region. The position requires minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience. The annual salary is $100,000 plus super. Our office is located at Canning Vale WA 6155. This role requires frequent site travel in the metro and possible regional Western Australia. Responsibilities of the role includes. Key Responsibilities: Installing and terminating power and signal cables (LV/600V) in trackside and industrial environments Performing electrical and civil works for level crossings, signalling huts, and track circuits Setting up and commissioning solar power units, battery storage systems, and communications hardware Interpreting wiring schematics and technical plans for railway signalling systems Supporting major transport infrastructure projects such as Metronet developments and regional freight lines Ensuring full compliance with WA safety standards and Public Transport Authority (PTA) electrical regulations Conducting regular inspections, testing, and fault-finding on site infrastructure Collaborating with project engineers, signalling technicians, and civil contractors to deliver safe and timely outcomes Support the commissioning of level crossings, boom gates, and safety warning systems Always work in line with MGC’s strong safety culture, policies, and procedures Participate in daily site pre-starts, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks Ensure correct PPE use and report near misses or incidents immediately Essential Criteria: Available immediately Hold Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence (or able to obtain) Valid WA C class driver’s licence (or able to obtain) Drive in Drive out to some country locations as required Construction White Card -Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency / Appropriate Visa Class (working rights) Desirable Criteria: Rail infrastructure exposure Rail Industry Workers Card Pre-wiring experience EWP/WAH training Arc Infrastructure Safe Working (SW) accreditation PTA SW Accreditation Understand and apply PTA and Metronet safety and isolation procedures What You’ll Bring WA Electrical Licence (essential) White Card and valid Driver’s Licence Strong experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure electrical systems Previous experience with rail signalling, mining, or transport projects highly desirable Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions and travel to regional sites when required PTA or ARC competencies (preferred but not mandatory – training may be provided) A proactive attitude and commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork What we offer: MGC Solutions is dedicated to nurturing our people personally and professionally through skills development, career pathways and fostering a proudly diverse, fun and supportive workplace culture.
