The successful applicants will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods while complying with road transport legislation, company procedures and workplace safety requirements. Australian citizens and permanent residents who are available for full-time employment are strongly encouraged to apply. The role requires availability to work Saturdays and Sundays as part of a rotating roster. Remuneration will be paid in accordance with the applicable industrial award. The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Operate heavy vehicles to transport goods safely across assigned delivery routes Manoeuvre trucks into position for efficient loading and unloading operations Load and unload goods using appropriate lifting and handling equipment Conduct pre-start and routine vehicle safety and maintenance checks Ensure compliance with road transport regulations and safety standards Secure loads appropriately to prevent damage or loss during transit Verify delivery documentation and ensure accuracy of consignment details Monitor load weights and ensure compliance with legal load limitations Plan and follow optimised delivery routes using tracking systems Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics coordination teams Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of assigned vehicle Report vehicle faults, incidents or delays promptly to management Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with clients Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high safety and quality standards Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: Relevant AQF Certificate II or higher qualification (or equivalent), or at least two years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification. At least one year of recent work experience as a Truck Driver, gained within the last three years.
