As our business continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Project Cost Control - Lead to establish and drive best practice project controls across our operations. This is a pivotal role supporting Project Managers, Operations Managers and Senior Leadership by providing accurate commercial reporting, forecasting and financial performance insights that enable informed business decisions. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsible to Executive General Manager, you will take ownership of project controls across the business, ensuring consistent and accurate reporting, forecasting and cost management on multiple projects. Rather than simply reporting the numbers, you'll partner with our operational teams to identify risks early, improve project performance and support profitable project delivery. Key Responsibilities Leading weekly project reporting across all active projects. Developing and maintaining Cost to Complete (CTC) reporting. Producing weekly and monthly project forecasts. Analysing project costs, productivity and financial performance. Monitoring project margins and identifying commercial risks. Preparing meaningful project performance commentary for senior management. Managing variation and claims reporting. Coordinating all project cost reporting across the business. Supporting Operations Manager, Divisional Managers and Project Managers with budgeting, forecasting and commercial management. Identifying trends and opportunities to improve project profitability. Developing reporting dashboards and improving project controls processes. Management and coordination of cost control structures. Working closely with Finance, Operations and Project Management teams to ensure reporting accuracy. Supporting monthly financial reporting and forecasting cycles. About You To be successful in this role you will possess: Minimum 5 years previous experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, Commercial Analysis or Project Finance. Degree in Commerce, Finance, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction Management. Experience using Workbench, Pronto, SAP, Oracle, Power BI or similar reporting systems. Experience with mining shutdowns or construction projects. Strong understanding of project cost reporting earned value principles and forecasting. Proven experience preparing Cost to Complete (CTC) reports. High-level analytical and commercial acumen. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence operational teams. Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
