We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Rates & Accounts team. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll play a key part in supporting the City's rating functions, maintaining accurate records, assisting customers, and helping ensure the efficient collection of rates and charges. No two days are the same as you work closely with residents, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding service and support. What You'll Be Doing • Maintaining property and rating records and databases • Processing applications, requests and pensioner rebate documentation • Assisting customers with rates enquiries via phone, email and in person • Supporting the levying of rates, charges and property revaluations • Managing overdue rates and Emergency Services Levy accounts through effective negotiation and customer engagement • Liaising with internal departments, government authorities and external service providers About You You're a customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. To be successful, you'll need to be able to demonstrate in your cover letter that you can bring: 1. Experience in a rates, administration, customer service or data entry role 2. Strong communication, customer service and negotiation skills 3. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities 4. Strong computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple priorities 5.
