Project Engineer | 4-Month Contract | Large Commercial Project Location: Sydney, NSW Contract Duration: 4 Months Start Date: ASAP Sector: Commercial Construction Employment Type: Contract The Opportunity An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading top-tier builder and assist with the successful close-out of a major commercial new build project in Sydney. This is a fast-paced contract role requiring a hands-on Project Engineer who can quickly integrate into the project team and support the completion, commissioning, defect management, documentation, and handover phases of a project valued in excess of $100 million. An immediate start is available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Support the project team through the final stages of project delivery and handover Coordinate completion activities, commissioning and practical completion requirements Manage defect identification, tracking and close-out processes Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of outstanding works Review and manage project documentation, as-built records and O&M manuals Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams to facilitate project close-out Monitor programme milestones and assist in achieving contractual completion obligations Ensure compliance with quality, safety and project delivery requirements Assist with final reporting, project records and client handover documentation About You To be considered for this role, you will have: Proven experience as a Project Engineer within the commercial building sector Demonstrated experience working on building projects valued at $100 million Strong understanding of project delivery, commissioning and handover processes Experience working for a Tier 1 or reputable Tier 2 building contractor Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building or a related discipline What's on Offer Immediate start available 4-month contract with a leading top-tier builder Opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of a landmark commercial development Competitive contract rate Collaborative and high-performing project team Sydney-based project location Apply Now If you are an experienced Project Engineer with a proven track record delivering large-scale commercial building projects valued at $100 million or more and are available to commence immediately, we would like to hear from you.
