1st / 2nd Year HVAC Technician (Commercial Projects – Sydney) A leading building services contractor is seeking a 1st or 2nd year HVAC Technician to join their commercial mechanical team in Sydney. The business delivers high-quality HVAC solutions across large-scale commercial construction, fitout, and live environment projects. This is a great opportunity for an early-stage apprentice to gain broad exposure across installation, service, and maintenance work within a structured and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified technicians across a variety of commercial HVAC projects, assisting with installation, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. You will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of systems while building core trade skills in a fast-paced project environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems Support qualified tradespeople across AHUs, package units, split systems, VRF/VRV and ventilation systems Carry out basic preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes, cleaning and system checks Assist with commissioning and testing activities under supervision Read and follow drawings, specifications and site instructions Maintain safe work practices in line with WHS requirements Participate in toolbox talks, inductions and daily site coordination About You 1st or 2nd year HVAC / Air Conditioning & Refrigeration apprentice Eager to learn and develop trade skills in a commercial environment Reliable, motivated and able to work well within a team Basic understanding of tools and construction site safety White Card What’s on Offer Exposure to major commercial construction and fitout projects Hands-on training with experienced HVAC technicians Strong mentorship and development opportunities Ongoing pipeline of work across Sydney Long-term career pathway within building services Maisie.grayland@coretalent.com.au 0412 500 924
