Established in 1977, AEM has been providing clients with products and services related to electric motors, pumps and generators for nearly 49 years. AEM is currently looking to fill the following position; Electrical/Mechanical Fitter The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience. · Demonstrated recent 3-5 years or more fitting experience in a workshop environment. · Have knowledge and experience in electrical/mechanical fitting & repairs of electromechanical components e.g. electric motors, pumps, gearboxes etc. · Possess high risk licence – forklift (or willing to obtain one) · Machining experience with manual lathe & milling machine (highly desirable) · Team player with strong interpersonal skills · Must have the ability to follow company procedures & policies and comply with Quality Assurance & WHS requirements at all times · Reliable, punctual and available to work overtime when required. · Trades certificate (Cert III – Mechanical Engg or equivalent) would be preferred. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Disassemble, assess, and reassemble all sorts of pumps, generators, electric motors, and gearboxes. Test and repair in accordance with AEM Standards and Procedures. Machining of parts/components as required Complete all necessary paperwork associated with the job in a thorough and legible manner. Be available for overtime when required. Work with the maximum efficiency of time and the minimum amount of errors and rework. Undertake ongoing training as required. Must always work in accordance with company’s WHS and Quality system Complete and submit weekly KPI reports. AEM offers a full-time position based in Gepps Cross, SA.
