OFI Group has a rewarding career opportunity for a Senior HSE Advisor to join our Welshpool Workshop to provide HSE support to all OFI personnel, to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, client expectations, industry best practice and OFI’s policies and procedures. In this role your responsibilities will include: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation, client requirements and industry best practice, and provide advice and support to stakeholders to ensure OFI’s compliance. Actively engage with stakeholders to educate and build a positive safety culture, promoting proactive hazard reporting, risk awareness and duty of care behaviours across all operations. Provide immediate support for incident investigations and follow-up on closeout actions, liaising with relevant stakeholders. Providing guidance and coaching in creating, mentoring, reviewing and providing feedback on risk assessment processes at all levels. This includes but is not limited to Critical Risk Management, Project Risk Assessments, SWMS and JSAs. Ensure implementation of injury management processes, following the guidance of the MET Health & Wellbeing Specialist. Provide support to project personnel to meet site HSE requirements, including assisting in the development and implementation of project risk assessments, management plans, and related HSE documents. Conduct internal audits and workplace inspections. Compile data for HSE reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Prepare for and participate in external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems. Develop and facilitate inductions and HSE awareness training. Develop and implement HSE initiatives. Provide guidance and coaching to HSE advisors. Willingness to travel to project sites and undertake occasional remote or site-based work as required. Additional duties as directed by management. To be considered for this position, you will need: 5 years’ experience in a HSE advisory role Experience in manufacturing, construction and/or resources sectors Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders Ability to prioritise work, use initiative and operate in a fast-paced environment Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety, or Certificate IV Work Health and Safety and relevant experience Experience using WHS management systems (e.g. MYOSH, SAI360) and Microsoft Office.
