The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a Team Leader Works to supervise and coordinate bitumen and road maintenance works on the Shire’s 650km of road network across our community. About the Role Reporting to the Supervisor Works, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising a small team delivering civil construction and maintenance programs, with a focus on bitumen and asphalt works. You will ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting a positive team environment. Key Responsibilities supervise and lead staff undertaking road maintenance, asphalt and bitumen works plan and deliver civil works programs including resealing, resheeting, reinstatements and footpath works operate and oversee the safe use of plant and equipment monitor materials usage, ordering and cost control ensure high standards of safety, quality and compliance maintain strong customer service and respond to service requests What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: minimum 2 years’ experience in road construction and maintenance, particularly bituminous works demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams in a practical environment strong knowledge of plant operation, materials and bitumen maintenance and construction practices ability to prioritise work and deliver outcomes efficiently commitment to workplace safety and quality standards well-developed communication and interpersonal skills current Construction Safety Awareness (White Card) hold Traffic Management / Traffic Controller and First Aid certification competency in relevant plant and equipment (e.g. rollers, skid steer, Flocon truck) current WA HR-B (or higher) driver’s licence.
