CNC Operator About Hammersmith Hammersmith is a family-owned manufacturing business that began in 1946 and supplies products to the staircase, building and furniture industries. We operate a small storefront in Brompton but distribute our products nationally through our website & trade/wholesale network. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team. Experience operating CNC machinery is desirable, however full training can be provided to the right candidate with a strong willingness to learn. About the Role: · Design programs and build jigs to produce new products. · Oversee the safe set-up and operation of a variety of CNC machines. · Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required. · Document processes and procedures of jobs. · Maintain a tooling register. · Read and interpret drawings. · Inspect products for quality. · Potential coordinator role/career development opportunities for the right applicant. About You: · Must be either an experienced CNC programmer and operator, with preferred experience in the manufacturing of timber, or have a willingness to learn. · Good technical abilities, including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · High levels of attention to detail to enable the production of quality products. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Good computer skills. Experience with SolidWorks, EasyWOOD or Alphacam would be looked upon favourably. · Demonstrate ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
