Job description: Gliderol Garage Doors is one of Australia's largest manufacturers and distributors of sectional, roller doors & operators. Gliderol has a well-established business with a strong brand name and market position. The company is a significant Australian employer and has manufacturing facilities located throughout the country. We're seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead our Holden Hill site, overseeing production (sectional and roller doors), warehousing, and dispatch. You'll be responsible for delivering strong operational performance across output, DIFOT, cost, quality, and safety, while driving continuous improvement and building a high-performing, customer-focused team. Key responsibilities: Lead daily operations across production, warehousing, and logistics Deliver KPI targets (DIFOT, efficiency, cost, inventory, quality, safety) Plan and schedule production, labour, and resources Drive process improvements, maintenance, and capital projects Optimise inventory, supply chain, and working capital outcomes Ensure strong WHS practices and a culture of continuous improvement Review performance metrics and implement corrective actions Support customer service and collaborate across teams Lead, coach, and manage team performance and development About you: Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on approach with strong operational and problem-solving skills Knowledge of WHS practices and compliance requirements Experience in roll forming or similar production environments (desirable) Familiarity with Sage/Sage CRM or similar systems (advantageous) Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset Skills and experience: Strong leader with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams Proven experience in a manufacturing or operations environment Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Solid understanding of WHS practices, compliance, and safety leadership Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management Exposure to roll forming or similar production processes (desirable) Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and logistics optimisation Familiarity with Sage, Sage CRM, or similar ERP systems (advantageous) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused mindset Working with us Join an Industry Leader on a Global landscape.
