POSITION OVERVIEW The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning through to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of the construction industry, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory requirements simultaneously. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •Manage end-to-end delivery of residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget •Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, with regular reporting to senior management •Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure quality standards and safety compliance •Liaise with local councils, certifiers, and relevant authorities to obtain approvals, permits, and compliance documentation •Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews, identifying risks and implementing timely mitigation strategies •Manage procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies •Monitor and enforce Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards across all project sites •Prepare and present project status reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders •Manage variation orders, contract administration, and dispute resolution with subcontractors and clients •Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, drawings, RFIs, and as-built records QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Essential: •Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related field •Minimum 5 years of proven experience in construction project management, preferably in residential or mixed-use developments •Demonstrated ability to manage projects valued at $2M or above •Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (BCA, NCC) •Experience with contract administration and subcontractor management •Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar) •Valid driver's licence Desirable: •Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction •White Card (General Construction Induction) certification •Membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) or similar professional body •Experience working with Victorian building authorities and planning regulations SKILLS & COMPETENCIES •Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams •Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement •Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail •Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure •High level of commercial acumen and financial management skills •Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable construction practices WHAT WE OFFER •Competitive salary package commensurate with experience •Opportunity to work on exciting and diverse property development projects across Victoria •Supportive and collaborative work environment with a focus on professional growth •Career advancement opportunities as the company expands its project portfolio •Work-related expenses and tools provided
